Since 1956, Billy R. Martin Insurance Agency has been providing the Tyler area with the utmost in customer service and support. It all started in Waco, Texas, where Billy R. Martin was approached by an insurance salesman hoping to sell a life insurance policy. Right then and there, the business was born, and it has been successfully thriving for the past 50 years.

As Billy always said, “We don’t take a back seat on coverage or price to anyone”. With their father’s philosophy in mind, Harold & Alan Martin have continuously strived towards establishing personal relationships with each and every customer, and putting customer satisfaction ahead of business concerns. With an ever-resilient focus, Harold and Alan have passed these values down to Alan’s children, Teena Mienk & Michael Martin, the third generation of Billy R. Martin Insurance Agency.

Our History

Billy R. Martin, founder, started his insurance business by knocking on doors and offering financial security to all who would listen.

Many of these individuals who benefited early-on from Mr. Martin’s personal approach and assistance are still clients, having been members of the agency’s family of clientele for five decades.

Although Mr. Martin has passed on, his legacy is still with the agency. Family members and the dedicated staff remain committed to Mr. Martin’s integrity and service.
